Sinfonietta is an experimental ensemble led by members of the band Quest, in which we explore ways of creating music. We try a mass of different ideas, using rhythmic exercises, chance procedures, abstract ideas and so on.

The ensemble has a core of piano, 2 violins, cello, vibraphone, flute, basoon and guitar. Formations change regularly as guests are always welcome

Piano and guitar chords have their notes written out which are given to everyone to choose as the chord is conducted…resulting in unexpected inversions of the same chord.
